Traffic objects

Modern traffic and state-of-the-art motorways cannot be imagined without roadside facilities, which include toll gates, fuel stations, rest areas, control of dynamic traffic signalling, traffic surveillance and a Centre for traffic management and control. They are integral parts of traffic, and their design requires the thorough consideration.

Roadside facilities comprise the following three groups:

• Roadside service facilities

1. Stops, fuel stations, stationary traffic solutions, etc.

• Facility for the control of vehicles passage

1. Toll gates, border crossings, etc.

• Traffic management and control Centre
